The Wine Cellar

The wine cellar is exclusively intended to keep wine in barrels.
The château Bizard wine cellar has the following characteristics:
- underground installation
- constant 15°C temperature
- hygrometry permanently between 70% and 80%
- automatic ventilation where the air is renewed 4 times every 24 hours
- sheltered from the light
- diamond plate flooring to facilitate draining water and make upkeep easy

Our casks are all placed on an "oxoline" structure with turning rollers to operate the wine stirring operations during the malolactic fermentation and provide more finesse for the tannins and the "fleshiness". A control cask with a transparent base made of altuglass triggers the rotation of other barrels. We can access, fill, empty, clean and disinfect each barrel without any handling or changing its place.
