The Mistral

Although our rows are spaced 2.5m apart, the vines are planted NORTH to SOUTH so they are constantly ventilated by the Mistral or the wind from the Mediterranean.
This circulating air ventilates bunches, chases away humidity and thereby prevents diseases developing and the consequent number of treatments.
This ventilation phenomenon is accentuated by the sloping setting of our plots: bunches do not suffer from excessive heat in summer as they might on flat land.
