Allan, the commune where Château Bizard is located
has been renowned since the eighteenth century for its vines. This commune
set in the southern part of the Rhone valley is proud of its “Côteaux
du Tricastin” vintage. At Château Bizard, like elsewhere, the terroir
is unique and cannot be imitated. The soils are chalky with some more or less
gravelly clay. The vines subject to the mediterranean climate and also to alpine
influences give aromatic, elegant and fresh wines that are not too strong.
The mistral (local wind) is of great interest because it ventilates the grapes,
blows out humidity and so avoids the development of illnesses. All these natural
factors guarantee the conditions of a high quality culture.
