In the eighteenth century, at the place called « Bizard », stands
an important silkworm farm. In1862 Eugène Missol plants vineyards on the
upper part of the hill; by so doing he initiates the family’s wine grower
spirit. His son Adrien and his grandson Eugène Missol Legoux carry on
this passion and develop the estate. At this time, vines are exported in casks
to Belgium and the Netherlands under the name “Côtes du Rhône”.Since
1980, Marc and Anne-Marie Lépine, direct descendants, have expressed with
generosity and rigour the viticultural calling of Château Bizard.
